Don't miss the memory because you missed the moment.

Team BOOM,

Last Tuesday, I called my dad.

“Hey Dad, what are you up to?”

“I’ve been kidnapped,” he said.

Pause.

“…by Art. He flew in from Thailand and kidnapped me to downtown Chicago.”

Art, his lifelong friend, had convinced him to stay in a fancy hotel with a view of nothing but rooftops.

They had plans:
✔️ Dinner in the city
✔️ A White Sox game—his first since he was 11, back when he rode a bus into the city as a Boy Scout
✔️ And two days later... a Cubs game at Wrigley—his third Cubs game ever

“If my time on earth was limited, I’d want to make memories with my loved ones.”

He admitted it was out of character.
He likes reading the paper in his chair, watching the news, and climbing in bed by 10:00.
But... “So far, I’m not regretting it.”

That hit my soul.

In life, how many all-in adventures will you get invited to—and how many will you actually say yes to?

🟡 Golden Nugget #2 (Social Share):
Don’t lose your “go for it.” When the door of opportunity is unlocked, don’t check the handle. Don’t peek inside. BLOW through it like a SWAT team.

Let me remind you:
You’ll never regret making a memory with a friend.
You’ll always regret waiting until it’s too late.

In the end, the stories you’ll tell won’t be about your sales record, your car, or your work. They’ll be

about relationships, experiences, and spontaneous moments that made your heart race.

🟡 Golden Nugget #3 (Social Share):
"Memories matter more than money. Make time for the people who make life rich."

As BOOMLeaders, we don’t wait.

We believe it
We organize a way for “it” to happen
We own it
And we multiply these moments

So here’s your challenge this week:
Go get yourself “kidnapped.”
Say yes to something unexpected.
Make a memory you’ll never forget.

Onward,

Tom

10.07.2026 IGNITE Where Dr. Tom Webb sparks your curiosity and inspires action! Reader, Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared three simple ideas about attendance. Attendance is access. Students must be present before they can access the teachers, relationships, interventions, activities, and opportunities we work so hard to provide. Every percentage has a name. Behind every attendance number is a student like Max who needs to feel seen, connected, and part of something bigger than themselves....

09.23.2026 IGNITE Where Dr. Tom Webb sparks your curiosity and inspires action! Hey Reader, Last week I shared a simple idea: Attendance is access. Students have to be present before they can access the teachers, relationships, interventions, activities, and opportunities we work so hard to provide. But percentages can make this work feel clinical. So today, I want you to meet Max. Max was new to our school. He was introverted, quiet, and easy to miss. He wasn’t causing problems. He wasn’t...
